Urchins of Novgorod

The most helpful segment of the population of Novgorod. They all kind of look alike and have difficult names to remember.

They have helped the Byzantine Envoys on three separate occasions: They looked for caterpillar cocoons in the dead of winter in a bombed out city for Jean-Claude, and then later for Reynaldo (with much better results), for the spell Polymorph Other. Later, they helped Wong and Ivan out during their investigation into the apparent murder of a blacksmith by Sabota Sulislavich, as well as tracking the movements of the ridiculously intelligent evil Black Bastard Sword from a teleported and mindwiped Edward the Penitent to one of the Urchins' own (also mindwiped) to Sabota (who was eventually freed from its influence when the Kebnegard-Bound Party destroyed the sword).

Reynaldo is quite certain they'd make a much better police force than the city guards.

They usually require a gold piece for a job well done.
