Resides in Uppsala and is King of all Sweden, including Kebnegard, or so he says.

Refers to himself as the 'Ring-Giver' and did in fact give rings to Edward's half of the Byzantine Envoys, as well as The Golden History of the Sword of David and its Magnificent Scabbard and the name of a poem that Thorbjorn was looking for in exchange for catching his sacrificial boar.

Has a magic ring around his neck that allows him to open holes into who-knows-where when he puts it on.

Calls King Orm "merely a Jarl who misunderstands his place."

Knows all about the giants currently ripping Kebnegard apart.

Really hates Ivan.

Was elected to the throne over his cousin Stryrbjorn the Strong because the latter "was declared too wild and uncontrollable to be king." He gained the cognomen after defeating Stryrbjorn at the battle of Fyrisvellir. According to legend, Erik offered himself to Odin, receiving ten years of unbroken victory at the end of which he must die.

Believed to be crazy by the Byzantine Envoys; believed to be "crazy like a fox" by Orm. His adviser Thorgnir is renowned for his craftiness and may have some measure of power over the king.

His palace, copied from the old palace of King Adils is riddled with trapdoors and hidden passageways and such, and features a rolling throne.
